Electrical Engineer II
True Digital Surgery is a World Leader in Computer-Guided Microsurgery. We combine 3D visualization and guidance software applications focused on improving accuracy, efficiency and outcomes for surgeons and patients. Our medical imaging and guidance system employs advanced real-time 3D graphic capabilities and proprietary software that is sold to surgeons and hospitals all over the world.
We are looking for a hand's-on, highly technical, driven electrical engineer to join the technical program team to support the development of a new and existing digital 3D microscope cameras. The candidate will contribute to the design, development, and testing of electrical and electronic component as part of future and existing products. The candidate will apply mathematical and engineering principles and methods to electical system designs, and to verify their designs will meet requirements.
SALARY AND PAY TRANSPARENCY
Salary range for this position is between $82,000 and $102,000. Base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and all applicable company benefits.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Design, develop, and test electrical and electronic components under direction of a Principal/Senior level EE.
- Provide engineering support of new and existing digital surgical microscope system design and development.
- Understand and develop designs in accordance with medical device regulatory expectations, including IEC-60601.
- Work closely with Systems, Software, Firmware (FPGA), and Biomedical engineers to develop best-in-class medical devices.
- Provide design documentation to support the TDS quality sytem.
- Understanding of image sensor architectures, image sensor testing and test development methodology a plus.
- Experience with FPGA development for interface bridging and video pipeline a plus.

Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of related EE experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 1 year and a Master’s degree; or a PhD; or equivalent experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook or equivalent.
The following knowledge is also desired:
- Expertise in medical imaging and scientific imaging technologies
- Broad knowledge of engineering concepts (EE, ME, SW, data analysis, modeling)
